These two stars are for the lovely nurses and the team in the operating room.

Well, where done start from? I will try to summarise this to help anyone out there looking forward to their appointment at the clinic.

After more than a decade of struggling with unexplained left lower abdomen pain I pushed so hard to get a referral from our fertility doctor coz I couldn’t get any from my Obgy. We have a referral, called the FUK appointment was issued with a 2-3 months wait luckily. Check ups where scheduled on 3 days before operation day which took almost the whole day moving from one department blocks and buildings.Shock of my life! A few hours to my OP day, I received a call from the clinic that my appointment as been cancelled, and I should inform them when I have my next period to schedule a new one. Note: it was stated in my report that I have irregular period with a lengthy of more than 160 days. How do you possibly expect me to wait that long after I waited long enough for the current appointment which is hrs away. Mind you, I need help so what we can find out what causes pain because we are suspecting endometriosis. The pain is intense such that I can barely walk, sit or stand whenever it comes. I depend on painkillers they are not good for my liver either. Fast forward I expressed my concerns through a mail coz they stopped picking my calls and directed me to a recorded audio. Devastating day it was, work plan is already updated, HR department booked everything in the system. On my way home, a call comes in asking me why I called earlier and canceled the appointment, 😒 Point of correction your colleagues called me to cancel not the other way around. Good news, well your OP will place tomorrow as planned coz another patient canceled. I was happy, called the station later to ask of the time I need to be there as instructed, they don’t know, suggested I show up at 09:00. I showed up 08:45 I was referred to a different station without proper guidance. Long story short, the operation was done like planned, the staff in the theatre were great, after care nurses very helpful. But the Dr! He came next day, no proper greeting, said quick report focusing on child wish and not addressing the main reason why I wanted to be checked (unexplained lower abdominal left pain and suspected endometriosis) until now I have no clear answers, I was let go the immediately he finished talking, without being asked if I was able to use a toilet because until now I haven’t been able to pass stool. I have been a stationed in women’s clinics before but never was i treated like nothing before. He never left any room for me to ask questions, he was already walking away. The appointment team is one disorganised department here too!!

My wife and I’s experience at the outpatient clinic ( Schwangerambulaz) and the hospital have been polar opposites.

The Outpatient Clinic

We had a scheduled appointment at week 34, 36 and 38 of the pregnancy and yet , all three times my very pregnant wife was made to wait over 4 hours for her turn to speak with the doctor . I mean what’s the point of making an appointment in the first place then . It was very frustrating and very uncomfortable.

The Hospital

We were mentally prepared for a similar level of incompetence once my wife was admitted for the delivery of the baby , but we could not be more wrong . The doctors , the midwives , the nurses , the support staff … everyone was super helpful , professional and to be honest , very decent human beings . The midwives in the delivery room were our absolute rock , God bless them ! We ended up staying 4 nights at the hospital and were taken care of extremely well by everyone .

Our Baby girl was delivered here by an excellent team of Doctors and warmest Hebammes.

The team ensured a healthy start to her life. The hebammes were super good, mostly spoke English but were highly accommodating even if they did not.

They focused on teaching the parents so that you have a smoother journey back at home.

I can highly recommend the family room (if available), it makes the journey super comfortable. The breakfast and lunch served to patients are super tasty and fresh. Dinner can be a little early (5pm) considering you will be up all night with the baby. Just bring a few items from nearby bakeries for the night.

Wonderful experience. Doctors, nurse and staffs are all very empathetic, nice and cooperating (even though i don't speak German). Cannot complain about anything. I had an emergency and was also treated with emergency and good care.
After been suffer for very long time and running from one doctor to another I finally got treated here successfully.
Cannot thank enough the whole team.

Had a good experience for my natural delivery. Every staff member is supportive and communicate in english . They make every phase of our delivery smooth.

We had a very disappointing experience at this clinic. The staff at the reception were unhelpful, rude, and showed no empathy. It made an already difficult situation even worse. I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience.

Update:
We had to go there again. Once you're past the receptionist wall, they have good doctors and nurses.

I was there recently to give birth to my baby. This is my second one. The birth was unmedicated as I wished for and the team of Midwife supported me. They were respectful and empathetic during this vulnerable time of my life.
After birth they protected the golden hour. I had uninterrupted skin to skin with my baby and he latch on me without trouble. Hence we avoided unnecessary intervention like, giving Formula or putting him in warm chamber.
The nurses at the Station were all nice and friendly. They responded to all the needs.
It was an amazing birth experience overall in all aspect. I am thankful to the team there

My wife had operation, doctor, nurse and staff all very helpful. Despite the language barrier it's very wonderful experience. After fürth klinikum nightmare experience we were thinking of treatments in abroad. luckily it works well.So my experience if one hospital is not good look for other hospitals because standard fluctuations very high.
